A Note From Our Preacher:
It is tragic for our God, who gave us His Son to die on the cross, to beg us to love Him. Jack F. Hyles
1Ti 4:13 - Till I come, give attendance to reading, to exhortation, to doctrine.
2Ti 4:13 - The cloke that I left at Troas with Carpus, when thou comest, bring with thee, and the books, but especially the parchments.
In this section you'll find articles written by various folks on a variety of Biblical topics. Most will be grouped by category making them easy to find. Others simply won't fit neatly into a category and require a bit of searching to find one written on a particular subject.
"Attendance to Reading" in I Tim 4:13, in this context, means to devote yourself to, and putting forth the required effort ...reading, exhortation and doctrine. This is the reason Paul requested the books and parchments In 2 Tim 4:13. he books would have been commentaries on God's Word and the parchments, would have been individual articles on specific subjects such as those you will find in this section. Some of them I wrote to meet a specific need; some were written by other pastor's and teachers, yet others were written by laymen in our church. Regardless, God's people are admonished to read, attend preaching - "exhortation," and classes teaching Bible doctrines. Reading God's Word is the best therapy in the world for someone who doesn't like to read or thinks they are not good at it. Reading God's preserved Word in the KJB will remedy that. You reading and reading comprehension will increase reading His eternal Word. Then, reading what dedicated men and women of God have written, many time based on what the Lord has done for them, will be a blessing as you will see that others have been where you are. These articles are about as close to the "parchments" of the Apostles day as you will get. Take advantage of the opportunities afforded here. We are here to deliver God’s truth. with understanding .
